Dramatic powderroom owner D.R. Sahu says his company’s exit meme will stay up, even as the brand faces scrutiny over how it is advertising its products.

    Sahu, who created the viral image and meme of himself in the background with a bag of glitter, says his brand has been targeted for being an “outdoor-friendly” brand.

    He told the Business Line that he is not worried about the controversy that is being generated around the company, which he calls the “coolest thing I’ve ever seen” in an effort to get people to stop using the term “dramatically exit.”

    Sahu says the meme was born from an “unforgettable day” in 2016, when he was told that a product would be discontinued.

    The product he had just bought was discontinued and he decided to make it “a bit of a prank” and make a viral video about it.

    He says he is very thankful for the response and “not at all concerned about the negative press.”
