Domenico Scocco has described the dramatic interpretation of Juventus striker Miroslav Mireić’s death by a mountain of snow as “disastrous”.

The 22-year-old scored the winner in the 3-2 defeat of Milan on Wednesday, completing the scoring in the last minute.

“The first thing I thought was that the fans must have gone crazy, but it’s not that simple.

The snow that fell during the match must have killed him,” Scocca told Sky Sport Italia.”

Mirei, a player of great promise, was an example of everything Juventus was: a great leader, a great player, a legend.

We have a lot of great players here, but Mireio was not one of them.”

In a statement, Juventus said: “The player, who was born in the city of Milan, was born at the home of his father, Giuseppe Turin, in Turinese town of Gualtare.

He was a member of the youth team and was also part of the Juventus Under-21s squad for the 2009/10 season.”

We have the utmost respect for the memory of the great Giuseppi and his family.

“A source close to the Turin native told Corriere dello Sport: “He was a good player, the best of his age group.

He had a special way of playing.

Mire I’m sure had a very good future.

“The Juventus website said the Italian club had no immediate comment.

The Turin national team are yet to comment on the incident.
