An 18-year-old Australian boy has become the first person to star in a movie about a superhero that won the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

Jacky’s Story, based on the novel by Mark Lawrence, tells the story of Jacky, a superhero who fights crime by hiding his identity.

The film was nominated for the award for Best Film and was selected for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

“I was a little bit excited, and I’m not even sure what to say about it,” Jacky told The Huffington Post Australia.

“But it’s such a great movie, it’s just so well done and I love the characters, and that’s what I wanted to do.”

It’s about the thrill of being a superhero, it sounds cheesy but it’s so much fun.

“There’s no words to describe it.

I can’t even put it into words.”

Jacky told HuffPost Australia he’s never done a superhero movie before and said he was “very excited” to play the role of Jack, as well as his girlfriend and his fellow superhero, who he describes as “my best friends”.

Jacky said he has always been a comic book fan, but never before has he played a superhero.

“For me it was like ‘This could be the next big thing, this could be a big thing’,” he said.

“You know, I’ve always been into the superhero genre and there was always this huge amount of hype around it and so I was just looking forward to it.”

Jackyd said he hopes to continue to write and direct superhero films.

“If I can do a superhero film I’m very interested in that,” he said.””

    I really enjoy doing them.

“They’re just a lot of fun to work on.”
